Position Purpose: The Architectural Drafter must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners.

 

Maintain all CAD related files including construction documents, floor plans and architectural renderings for Trophy Signature Homes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and/or create and maintain all contract floor plan material for all Trophy base plans.
  • Create and maintain drawing and pertinent electronic files for Trophy product.
  • Send all requested files to Trophy Starts as requested.
  • Create address specific plans if necessary.
  • Open communication with Product Development team on new plan production.
  • Track, review and complete approved plan changes.
  • Review completed documents received by outside consultants.
  • Review changes made by Architectural Manager

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Requirements:  N/A

 

Working Relationships Inside the Company:  V.P. of Purchasing, Estimators, Purchasing Dept., Marketing.

 

Working Relationships Outside the Company:  Architects/Designers, Structural Engineers, Vendors/Trades, Marketing vendors.

Qualifications

Education:
• College degree helpful but not necessary, any Project Management certification helpful, basic computer skills required.

 

Experience:
• 3 years of residential architecture experience.
• 3 years AutoCAD experience required.
• Revit experience preferred, but not required.
• Architectural rendering/Graphic design preferred, but not required.

 

Competencies:
• Must possess ability to produce full construction documents and create new floor plans/elevations with direction from the V.P. of Purchasing and Architectural manager.
• Knowledge of homebuilding industry required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to set priorities and react to time-critical work.

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
