Overview

The Accounting Clerk must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners.

 

The Accounting Clerk position is the main point of contact and responsibility for back-office administrative responsibilities. This position also provides support in accounts payable and vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Enter invoices daily to ensure payment in the weekly check run Reconcile vendor statements monthly, work with vendors to resolve issues as needed
  • Verify proper approval of invoices
  • Maintain organized accounting records
  • Support Accounting and Operations teams, including Supplier Addressbook and EFT Coordination, Setting up and Troubleshooting Field Internet Services, and responding to and resolving Vendor Payment Inquiries
  • Manage Division President’s CONCUR credit card expense report
  • Answer, respond, and/or direct telephone calls as received
  • Order office supplies as needed to maintain necessary inventory, while controlling cost and limiting spend according to budgets set.
  • Maintain supply room order and tidiness daily
  • Retrieve, open and distribute incoming and outgoing mail daily including coordinating expedite services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Scan and distribute mail daily to correct recipient in a timely manner
  • Order and track customer referral gift cards
  • Support Division President and Accounting Leadership as needed

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma

 

Experience:

5 years administrative experience

  • Spanish-speaking preferred but not required.
