Position Purpose: The Processing Manager must believe in, practice, and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how they approach their role at Green Brick Partners.

 

Green Brick Mortgage is seeking a dynamic and experienced Processing Manager to join our team in Plano, TX. The Processing Manager oversees the mortgage loan processing department, ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery. This role is responsible for managing a team of processors, optimizing processes, and serving as a key liaison between loan officers, underwriters, and senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the mortgage processing team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement efficient processing procedures to ensure timely and accurate loan file preparation.
  • Monitor pipeline reports and ensure all files meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Resolve escalated issues related to loan documentation, borrower communication, and underwriting conditions.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, closing, and compliance departments to streamline operations.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and investor guidelines, ensuring team adherence to all applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of loan files for quality control and compliance.
  • Report departmental performance metrics to senior leadership and recommend improvements.

Supervision of Others:

  • The Mortgage Processing Team

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability:

Utilizes discretion, judgment, and high-level analytical skills to interpret complex situations. Will manage a team of processors. Overseeing their processing, answering questions and overall development of the team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.

 

Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, investor requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in loan origination systems and processing software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
